Who We Are

TDE is a loosely formed group of consultants dedicated to training and infrastructure design.

Our Mission

Training and Design for Electrification brings together career consultants working in engineering and architecture who are aligned to a common mission: to further and accelerate the adoption of low emissions commercial heavy duty vehicles by supporting the acquisition of electric vehicles with fit-for-purpose, reliable and future-proof charging infrastructure.

Ask us about depot upgrades, greenfield public charge sites for trucks and hybrid sites (EVs + EHDVs) for CPOs. We work in person at our client’s location (training, site visits, etc.) and in our home offices with weekly Teams calls with our clients.

We are vendor agnostic but can rely on solid relationships within the industry for technical support and responsive technical support from OEMs.

We have you covered with electrical, mechanical and construction cost analysis for each solution.

We are always looking for professionals to join with us on our mission.

Guiding your business through Infrastructure Upgrades

Choosing the right Charging Infrastructure is as important as selecting the right electric vehicles for your fleet and as it is to ensure an optimal power profile to the site. On-boarding an experienced external consultant is the best way to manage risk and outcome, if fleet operators do not have in-house expertise across the board.

While most vendors and OEMs do not go outside their sphere of expertise, a consultant like TDE provides training and expertise. We are happy to take the time to enter into the concepts of electrification and as well as site design, infrastructure design, hardware selection, cabling, solutions bill of materials and costing and utilities engagement. We are present from site survey to vehicle deployment.

Meet some of our team

Our comprehensive suite of professionals come from a diverse background of technology, electrical engineering and construction.

Carlo Carnelli

Head of Infrastructure

Carlo is an electrical engineer who started his career developing firmware. When he got involved in automating a fuel dispensing depot, he shifted permanently into the refueling business. For the last 6 years Carlo has focused entirely on electrification infrastructure projects where he manages design, construction and maintenance of both greenfield charging facilities as well as depot upgrades for heavy duty vehicle charging.

Claudio Turconi

Head of Architecture & Design

Claudio is a freelance architect who has worked extensively on public sector projects. For the last three years he has been almost completely focused on the design of greenfield public charging sites for EVs and commercial electric vehicles, and the upgrades to municipal bus terminals for the deployment of battery electric buses.

Luciano Carnelli

Lead Surveyor

Luciano has spent his career as a construction engineer. His architecture studio focuses on renovations and upgrades of public and private sector facilities with particular experience in down stream gas stations and public truck stops including the redevelopment of refueling service plazas for both gas/diesel fueling and electric fast charging. Luciano has decades of experience working with public entities and utilities.

Simon Eastwood

Technology

Simon comes from the technology sector where he developed firmware, hardware and semiconductors for micro-control systems with a focus on industrial control, datacoms and multi-processing systems. He has more than two decades of experience managing highly complex multi-site engineering projects for U.S. and European corporations and startups.

With meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, we create charge capacity for the modern fleet with an understanding of owner’s current operations and future goals.
